My name is Daniel Jadick. I created LongTermParking.com in the year 2001. The concept grew out of two factors: in those days a catchy domain name could bring a very good price if sold to the right end-user; and secondly, once I owned the name LongTermParking.com I began researching the off-airport parking industry and felt that it was ripe for an online directory of their many locations across the country. It all started with the initial directory of about 150 off-airport parking facilities listed by state. My wife Kathy spent a dozen hours at various public libraries going through telephone directories to locate them. I sat at the computer and typed each one's name, address and telephone number into a rudimentary table labeled for the airport served. It was an education to see how big this little industry actually was in 2001. I promoted the site and air travelers came to find the locations of the economical parking facilities. About midyear I had the idea that I could earn an income for my efforts if I could convince the operators to let me put a discount coupon for their services on my fledgling site. At first it was pretty difficult to convince the parking services to pay for a coupon and listing on the web site because many were in the throes of developing their own websites. But some did. I spent the next three years making endless phone calls by day to sell coupons and then sitting up late at night making the coupons one at a time; each one somewhat unique to reflect the style of the advertiser's own brand. In the second year I hired a friend to help me make the initial sales calls. As a team we sold more coupons each week which led to more late nights up making them. I loved and still do love making a coupon. I consider it my "art". I still make them one at a time and they are each just a little unique. Every year more and more people came to get my airport parking coupons. We now show over a million and a quarter airport parking coupons each year. In 2007 I added a parking reservation system for LongTermParking.com. The reservation system is available for free to the air traveler who wants the peace of mind of knowing that there will be a parking space waiting for them when they arrive. The parking facilities appreciate the reservations system as well because it allows them to make sure that they are not oversold for any particular day. In addition to the reservation system I added a customer feedback system which helps the facility management stay on top of daily service issues. When we first turned that system on there were so many complaints! I couldn't believe what I was reading many times. But, after a few months, the feedback improved. The system was working to help the management improve their services. That felt really good! Today there are about 10 U.S. web sites which help air travelers find airport parking options. Most of them charge a fee for a reservation and don't offer a discount coupon; some do. I like to think that LongTermParking.com is a unique discount coupon and parking reservation service because it's a hands-on business. I work on my site and with my advertisers everyday. Always looking for a better parking deal, promoting new coupon offers and helping people feel comfortable with my advertisers' services. You can feel confident that if anything goes awry at one of my advertisers' parking facilities, they will fix it. If they don't take great care of you and your vehicle, call me, Daniel Jadick at 1 (866) 495-3658 Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm Pacific Standard Time. I will help.
